Bim and Beyond

We recently welcomed a new Bim Modeler at Bim&Beyond. We would like to introduce him to you!

Freek was born and raised in the small village of Sassenheim. Freek; "From an early age, my attention was drawn to architecture and I wanted to do something with it.

My career started with the MBO study Architecture level 4 in Leiden. This study was mainly focused on the technical side of Architecture and I found out that this is my strong suit. After this study I went to study Architecture in Arnhem at the HAN University of Applied Sciences. I missed the creative side of architecture, so after this study I followed a Master of architecture at Oxford Brookes University in England. This was really very impressive. A whole new world opened up for me and it gave me a different view on architecture.

Last year I completed my master's and after this I wanted to put my expertise into practice. I had been looking for a nice job for a while and accidentally came across the Kraaijvanger website where I found this vacancy. Bim&Beyond seemed like a nice company with a challenging position. After a nice application process, it was soon clear that with my skills I would fit perfectly at Bim&Beyond and could start immediately in early July.

My work includes the technical development, management and composition of Bim information models. What makes my job so enjoyable are the many challenges the projects offer.
