Commissioned by structural engineer IMd and together with the technicians of Tata Steel, Bim&Beyond is engineering the structural expansion of the hot strip mill. In the almost one kilometer long hot strip mill, slabs of steel of 22.5 cm thick and 8 to 12 meters long are rolled out to thicknesses varying from 1.5 mm to 20 mm. For the realization of the Warmbanrolling Mill2 a large concrete cellar and factory hall will be realized. The big challenge for the engineering and execution team is to build the new extension while the Warmban rolling mill is fully operational.
