SEM Hoofddorp

SEM Hoofddorp is a new urban residential building in the centre of Hoofddorp, on the site of a former car park between Nieuweweg, Kruisweg and Raadhuisplein. The project makes an important contribution to the densification and liveliness of the city centre.

The building comprises approximately 280 apartments in various segments, combined with commercial functions and catering establishments on the ground floor. The roof will feature communal roof gardens that offer space for socialising and quality of life in the heart of the city.

SEM was designed by Kraaijvanger Architects and is being realised by Boele & van Eesteren on behalf of Treehouse Hoofddorp C.V.. What is special about this project is that the entire Kraaijvanger family is involved: Kraaijvanger Architects, Bim&Beyond and Plotvis are working together on the design, development and visualisation.

Bim&Beyond has fully developed the implementation design (UO) for SEM Hoofddorp. In close collaboration with Kraaijvanger Architects and the implementing parties, the design has been translated into a technically detailed and constructible model.

By developing the BIM model in its entirety, all architectural components, connections and details have been carefully coordinated. This ensures clarity in the implementation and supports efficient collaboration between the design and construction teams. In this way, Bim&Beyond contributes to a smooth construction process and the realisation of the design as intended.
