Gemeentehuis Zuidplas

Project

The town hall of the future

A future-proof town hall that is healthy, comfortable and energy-neutral. That is the new town hall Zuidplas. A future-proof town hall is 'smart' in every respect, where the added value of good housing exceeds the costs. On the one hand this is determined by the building, on the other hand by flexibility and adaptability.

The design of Kraaijvanger Architects for the town hall Zuidplas will be realized and elaborated by Heembouw. The municipality will have an energy-neutral building with a demonstrable BREEAM Excellent sustainability score. To make the sustainability ambition of the municipality of Zuidplas possible, Heembouw has started 'harvesting' together with NewHorizon. Harvesting means that all building materials that are reusable by NewHorizon are dismantled and disposed of in one unit. Think of window frames, doors, cable ducts, glass, fixtures, floor finishes, etc. The new building will be energy neutral: due to the circular harvesting, products and new uses will be created without the addition of energy or materials. Bim&Beyond took care of the aesthetic management for this sustainable project.
