Den Eng Veen
Project
Pilot award-winning housing concept
Bim&Beyond has developed the innovative FLEX housing system in collaboration with Theo Verburg Architects. On the basis of the typical Dutch terraced house, FLEX not only offers ground-level houses but also stacked houses. This 'row house 2.0' is inspired by the 'Slimbouwen' concept. This leads to greater flexibility in the building process and a longer lifespan of a house. FLEX has won the Slimbouwen award for the smartest concept. Not only did the professional jury praise the design & build housing system, but they also received the public award.
In the expansion district of Den Eng in Veen, a new construction project with 9 rental apartments and 18 ground-connected owner-occupied houses has been realized with the innovative FLEX housing concept. Bim&Beyond took care of the plan development and construction supervision.
